Toccoa Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident

Toccoa Police have released the name of the man killed in a fatal motorcycle accident Monday night.

According to Assistant Police Chief Tim Jarrell, 44-year-old Ian Norcross of Toccoa died as a result of the accident, which occurred at 9:44 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Big A Road and Memorial Drive.

Jarrell said that Norcross was transported to Stephens County Hospital following the accident and later died as a result of the injuries he suffered.

Jarrell went on to say that the 2007 Yamaha motorcycle Norcross was driving was the only vehicle involved in the accident.

According to Jarrell, the accident remains under investigation by the Toccoa Police Department and the Stephens County Coroner’s Office.

Norcross is survived by a wife and two children.
